SSK is offering their Untouchable Bobber production custom line, as a special edition for the Real Divas Ride Breast Cancer Fund. Unfortunately SSK didn't have any Untouchable left on the showroom floor so how were they going to show the special model? In steps CEC3D. We recreated the entire bike in virtual 3D, in all it's glory with the Breast Cancer paint and emblems. This was he classic visualization scenario that CEC3D specializes in. With the 3D recreation looking as real as can be, SSK can promote the bike without having to lay out bucks to build a show bike. CEC3D's work acts as their donation to the fund, with over 300 hrs devoted to the 3D recreation and we won't tell you how much that is in dollars.

You may recall the episodes of American Chopper that featured the build of the Siemens Electric Chopper. Worth a whopping, a lot of money, the Siemens Electric Chopper must be handled with care and only by true professionals. John St. Clair's reputation obviously preceeds him, as Metal Mafia Customs was elected by the Siemens crew to be that pro shop. Below are a few snapshots of the bike at metal Mafia Customs and the MMC crew.

With God's blessings this one may be better then the last but that remains to be seen. ProCorp Customs experienced a lot of difficulties last year due primarily to the rough economy and everyone going belly up like beached whales. It has been a sad thing to watch so many fall off the ladder. Some have passed away and others we're caught off guard.

Since last year, Callahan Custom Cycles has exited the partnership as both ProCorp and Callahan had to focus their energies on singular projects. It's been hard enough getting these projects off the ground, let alone to do multiples at the same time. If you are not aware, they are the project managers of the SoHe2.comWebsite and Bike Giveaway. Bo Asciu at Custom Eyes Concepts was originally hired to design the bike which can be seen at the CEC3D website, CEC3D.

The builder and painter that has been doing the paint of the Callahans bikes, has taken over the role of the builder in ProCorp Customs and hopes to jump the economic hurdle with less resistance then Callahan was met with. Not having any major projects going, Metal Mafia Customs believes they can take the Las Vegas bike project on and accomplish the goals.

Let's see what happens this year. Sponsorships are welcome and honestly, needed. Call Bo Asciu at Custom Eyes Concepts for more information about becoming a sponsor of ProCorp Customs projects, at 917-402-8226.

Peace out!
Sometimes, a little part can hold up the entire train.

This week was a race to reconvene and rethink our build process. One of the major components of the bike is the custom swing arm, fabricated by Brad Ruel's right hand man, Craig. Brad had taken the lead on creating the swingarm and was having all the little shafts and bearings machined specially for this project. Unfortunately we lost Brad smack dab in the middle of the fab, so, the swing arm had to be rethought. With that done, only two things stood in the way of getting it done; axleblocks.

Doubly unfortunate, the axle-blocks in Brad's inventory for his own frames, didn't fit the design of the PitBoss and the flow of the shape of the swing-arm design chosen for it. Hark, 8 Ball Manufacturing comes to the rescue. Though axle-blocks are often overlooked pieces of a custom build, 8 Ball Mfg sports a cool design the flows with curvy frames and has characteristics that create exceptional welding benefits. The arrowhead shape of the front of the blocks requires that the swing-arm's tubes, or if machined billet is used, the point of contact with the axle-blocks must be cut to a female version of the axle-block's shape. This shape creates a larger surface area for welding and hence, a stronger join at a critical point.

ProCorp Customs partner and owner of Custom Eyes Concepts, Bo Asciu, has been doing business with and long since become friends with John J., owner of 8 Ball Mfg and chief frame guru. Bo also created the 8BallMfg.com website and continues to produce much of 8 Ball's print and web work. John has been such a sport to go as far as to help Bo with some of his prototyping in his alternative fuels venture, by giving up hours and bucks worth of machining, all in the name of the cause.

James Callahan stated "it means alot to us that 8 Ball Mfg came through so quickly and willingly. There nice axle-blocks and even though they are only axle-blocks, the whole build is being held up without them. 8 Ball Mfg came through at a critical time with a critical part. Thanks John!". The project has one last frontier to cross now and that's getting those classy, sassy wheels sponsored.... hmmmm. Any takers?

If you know the custom motorcycling industry, then the name is more than familiar. Brad Ruel was also known as "The Wrench" and was a master at crafting beautiful custom bikes. Not that long ago Brad was a star competitor in the Metric Revolution TV show, from which he received a great deal of affection from the industry and enthusiasts around the country.

In 2000 Brad began building custom bikes and has since earned a name amongst the ranks of the greatest builders. Seemingly rough and tough on the outside, Brad had an immense heart and a way with people that signified the quality of his character.

More recently Brad joined in to assist the efforts of ProCorp Customs, as the master fabricator, to build the first ever Fremont Street Experience Las Vegas themed custom motorcycle. Designer of the concept bike, Bo Asciu said today "I hardly got to know Brad but from the little time I spent with him I knew I was in the company of a truly great man". Bo added "It will always remain as one of the greatest honours to have known Brad and more over, to have had him building a dream for our team. He will be missed in a big way."

James Callahan, ProCorp Customs partner and owner of Callahan Custom Cycles, was a long time friend of Brads and could hardly speak to express his sadness. "This project is now dedicated to Brad's memory. It's an unbearable moment to know that my friend is no longer here, as a buddy and as a team mate". Across the industry, the news is spreading and the hearts of so many are with the family.

Brad passed away only last night (July 15th, 2009), in his sleep at the young age of 43. Until more information is released, this is all we can say. On behalf of the ProCorp Customs team, Custom Eyes Concepts and Callahan Customs Cycles, our deepest condolences go out to the Ruel family.

Brad, you will be missed dearly! Rest in peace, blessed be your soul! Amen.

James Callahan and Bogdan Asciu form strategic custom builder alliance

Boca Raton, FL (June 23, 2009) --
James Callahan, pro custom builder, and Bogdan 'Bo' Asciu, artist and conceptual designer, announced today the launch of Promotional Corporate Customs, LLC., www.ProCorpCustoms.com. This dynamic duo has teamed up motivated by the abundance of interest in promotional corporate projects. “It was a natural progression for our relationship”, says James Callahan, who owns Callahan Custom Cycles, www.CallahanCustomCycles.com, with his brother John. “The more we work with Bo the more we are amazed by his talent. He can do things with that MAC computer of his that I would have never dreamed possible. It’s an honor to have him on our team.”

The focus of ProCorp Customs is to create promotional attractions that bring exposure to their clients. Additionally, ProCorp Customs creates one-off theme vehicles for film, special events, and corporate charity efforts.

As if that wasn’t enough, ProCorp Customs is happy to announce their strategic alliance with Brad ‘The Wrench’ Ruel. Brad has been brought aboard as a Master Fabricator and will lend is talents to ProCorp builds when called upon. "I love the daily business of building my customer’s frames and bikes but when it comes to being involved with ProCorp projects, I remember why I became a builder," says Ruel. "There is nothing that Bo and James can come up with that I can't fabricate. Their clients can be sure they’re getting something truly unique from this team.” You can check out this three (3) time Easy Rider National Champion at www.TheWrenchOnline.com

When asked for his thoughts on PCC’s launch and Brad Ruel’s involvement, Bo for once was at a loss for words, but briefly replied, “It was immediately obvious after working together for the past year, that there was a business model developing here," says Asciu. “I’m thrilled to be part of such an incredible team. Watching these guys bring my designs to life is an incredible honor. Somebody pinch me!” Bo Asciu also owns and operates Custom Eyes Concepts, www.CustomEyesConcepts.com, which focuses on conceptual vehicle design and 3D visualization services for vehicle and product designers, and BADWERKS, www.BADWERKS.com, which specializes in hi-end graphic design and illustration.

Currently the PCC shop is buzzing with two custom theme builds. One bike is for Hedonism, a SuperClubs vacation destination; the other is the for Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas and it’s ‘Born to Be Wild’ promotion, deemed the ‘PitBoss’, FSE’s first ever Las Vegas themed custom motorcycle.

Hedonism is a world class resort destination with locations throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Unlike other tame family resorts, Hedonism specifically caters to the mature vacationer seeking great fun in an open and free environment.

The Fremont Street Experience, located in historic downtown Las Vegas, is a five-block entertainment destination which links 10 downtown Las Vegas Hotel-Casinos. The featured attraction of Fremont Street Experience is the world’s largest video screen called Viva Vision. The Viva Vision's gigantic LED video screen spans 1,500 feet of four blocks, captivating viewers with 12.5 million lights along with a 550,000-watt sound system. The ‘Born 2B Wild’ promotion is featured in a six-minute video that plays throughout the week on Fremont Street Experience’s world-renowned Viva Vision canopy screen.

“It is an honor to have been chosen for this build,” Callahan said. “I take pride in knowing that the Callahan name will forever be a part of Las Vegas history. We want to thank Fremont Street Experience for putting their confidence in our shop.”

Fremont Street Experience is a five-block entertainment destination which links 10 downtown Las Vegas hotel-casinos. The featured attraction of Fremont Street Experience is the world’s largest video screen, Viva Vision. The “Pit Boss” custom motorcycle is scheduled to be unveiled during Las Vegas’ BikeFest weekend, Oct. 1-4.

The privilege of designing the Las Vegas-themed custom bike, deemed “Pit Boss”, went to conceptual artist and designer Bogdan 'Bo' Asciu, owner of Custom Eyes Concepts Co., www.CustomEyesConcepts.com. The concept design of ‘Pit Boss’ can currently be seen nightly in its virtual form in “Born 2B Wild.” The six-minute video plays nightly at midnight on Fremont Street Experience’s world-renowned Viva Vision canopy screen. The world’s largest LED video screen spans 1,500 feet of four blocks, captivating viewers with 12.5 million lights along with a 550,000-watt sound system.

“We used the concept of ‘Pit Boss’ in our new Viva Vision show ‘Born 2B Wild’, which we debuted at last year’s Las Vegas BikeFest,” said Jeff Victor, President of Fremont Street Experience. “Now during this year’s Las Vegas BikeFest, we will be unveiling the real thing. Between Bogdan’s unique design and the talent that James brings to the build, we know we have a classic, one-of-a-kind motorcycle in the making.”

“Fremont Street Experience gave us a well-written theme description which fit well with my love of old school bike and car designs. Conceiving the ‘Pit Boss’ proved effortless,” Asciu said regarding his inspiration for the “Pit Boss” design. “I am immensely grateful to Fremont Street Experience for giving the builder and myself this incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It's truly an honor to work with them and Callahan Custom Cycles to add to the history of Fremont Street."
